Judges rule child’s human rights not violated in case of 22-month-old at centre of life-support battle

The father of seriously-ill Alfie Evans said his son had been “failed disgracefully by the system” after losing a last-ditch legal bid at the European court of human rights.

The 22-month-old boy, who has a rare degenerative brain condition, has been at the centre of a life-support treatment battle.
