Lib Dem MP condemns outsourcing firm over GP trainee salary delays

Norman Lamb calls for inquiry into Capita delays that have left doctors unpaid and in need of handouts from charities

A former health minister has condemned the private firm that has left hundreds of GP trainees in the lurch by not paying their salaries.

Norman Lamb demanded on Friday that the health secretary, Jeremy Hunt, investigate how Capita had made blunders that have forced some young doctors to rely on charity handouts.
